Sometimes, two things collide in a wonderful way. Google has recently completed mapping one of Royal Caribbean’s ships ‘Allure of the Seas’. It means you can perform a virtual tour of the ship, just like you would on regular Google Streeview.
It’s not quite as amazing as it might seem at first – you can’t go into any of the private areas, for instance. But the idea could catch on. With two big ships coming their way in 2017 and 2018 (Escape and Bliss) this could be a great way to show off the ship to potential passengers who might otherwise be put off by their enormous size – both ships being able to carry 4000+ passengers.
